The monetization problem for adult content
When you watch content on sites like Youtube or Facebook, you might have thought about the process of revenue generation. But most people have probably never wondered about that very thing regarding adult content. Even though it also operates around video content, adult sites are quite different in regards to advertising and how content creators get paid. This is the very problem Vice Industry has set out to fix, they are reinventing the monetization system of adult content sites. To do this, they are using blockchain technology and creating an ecosystem around their token VIT. This token will be distributed among token holders, depending on the amount of viewer engagement they create. More relevant/popular/attention-keeping content will be rewarded with more tokens. This concept is also known as proof of brain technology, which is in the same category of Steemit, which also rewards content based on how much it contributes to the platform. A significant difference between Steemit and Vice Industry is the ability for viewers of the Vice Industry platform to earn VIT tokens simply by watching adult content. This is great for the ecosystem, as it gives content creators a greater insight into the minds of the viewers, which they can use to change their content to suit the audience.

Copyright issues
One of the biggest hassles when dealing with any kind of platform where anyone can upload content is copyright issues. Individuals are trying to abuse the system to generate revenue through other peoples work. One of the concerns with a decentralized system like blockchain is that anyone can do whatever they want, including uploading someone else’s content. To counter this issue, Vice Industry has created a system in which only the original creator of a piece of content will be rewarded with VIT tokens. Nobody can stop someone else from reuploading something, but they can take away their revenue generating ability, which gives them no reason to even do it.

A very exciting announcement regarding a partnership with Playboy.tv was released through the Vice Industry twitter a couple of days ago. This means an already huge userbase is going to be exposed to the VIT token.
