Ripple Donates $29,000,000 To Classroom Projects

Ripple makes yet another headline with an enormous donation

Today it was announced on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert that company Ripple, creator of the cryptocurrency Ripple (XRP), has donated 29 million dollars to classroom projects through the crowdfunding platform DonorsChoose.

It came about when the DonorsChoose website was down so no one was able to fund projects. Because of this, Ripple took action, funding every single project on the site at the time amounting to a total donation of $29,000,000 spread across 35,000 projects.

DonorsChoose is a crowdfunding platform for teachers who wish to raise funds for school-related projects and needed materials.

Ripple (XRP) is currently the 3rd biggest cryptocurrency with a market cap of $22 billion trading at $0.58 per XRP.
